Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice struck his fiancée with his hand, rendering her unconscious, according to a summons obtained by ESPN.

Rice and his fiancée were both arrested for simple assault after an incident early Saturday at a casino in Atlantic City, N.J. Rice and the woman “struck each other with their hands,” according to an Atlantic City police report.

A video obtained and posted online by TMZ on Wednesday shows Rice lifting the woman by her arms out of an elevator at the Revel Casino and laying her on the ground. She appears limp as he pulls her legs away from the elevator doors and later props her up.

Rice’s attorney, Michael Diamondstein, told The Baltimore Sun that the footage is authentic but incomplete. The prosecutor’s office released a statement saying the case has been referred to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

The NFL will review the incident under the league’s personal conduct policy.
